John Moynihan BSc (Hons) GSR

Professional Status...

Having worked with elite sportsmen at clubs such as Coventry RFC, John now focuses solely on running his sports injury clinics. He treats people from a range of sports and occupations and has links with the following

As well as his clinic in Nuneaton, he also runs his own private practice at The Alan Higgs Centre, called “PSIS Coventry.”

John Moynihan is a Graduate Sports Rehabilitator (GSR) which is accredited by BASRaT (British Association of Sport Rehabilitators and Trainers).

John Moynihan BSc (Hons) GSR qualified as a graduate sports rehabilitator from Salford University in May 2009 and is a fully registered and insured member of The British Association of Sport Rehabilitators and Trainers . A Graduate Sport Rehabilitator (GSR) is a graduate level autonomous healthcare practitioner specialising in musculoskeletal management, exercise based rehabilitation and fitness.  

During his time at university, John gained work experience at a number of professional sports teams such as Kilmarnock FC, Sale Sharks RFC and Warrington Wolves RLFC. Since qualifying, he has been treating members of the public and has been running his own sports and occupational injury clinics, in both Nuneaton and Coventry. Alongside this, he has worked for a number of different rugby clubs. During the 2009-2010 rugby season he was employed by Nuneaton RFC. He was then employed as the Head Sports Rehabilitator at Coventry RFC, where he spent 2 seasons helping elite sportsmen recover from their injuries.   
After 5 years working with Stoke Old Boys, John took the decision to focus fully on running his own sports injury clinics.  

These roles have given John vast experience and specialist knowledge in diagnosing, treating and rehabilitating all sports and occupational injuries. As well as this, John also specialises in sports massage, myofascial dry needling and running gait analysis
